well, you can collect unemployment if the company does go bankrupt. I would suggest that either you or your husband start looking for a new job now, before its too late. You could also try asking your bro-in-law to be straight with you and tell you whats going on. you have to be responsible to your kids before you are responsible to anyone else, including your brother in law.

First thing Take a breath this is a big deal but you can only think with a clear head.
Now you and your husband need to find other jobs. You don't have to tell the brother. Your husband being a formen should be in high demand. If his brother finds out he should fully understand. You guys had a plan to help each-other not for him to start mooching off of you guys and your kids. I know there is love there but your family deserves a real chance.
Getting a new place to live is a must. Usually as long as you have a job, apartments will rent to you. They wont be in the best neighborhoods but you have to sacrifice something. With bad credit expect to pay a little bit more for a security deposit. Also make aplan for how long you plan to be there. Just so you know it wont be forever. It doesn't matter if you have family because you both have eachother. From this experience you can see where family can get you. There is hope just stick together.and take care of those babies they come first.

That is more then a bit of trouble young lady. I think that you should both be checking into housing authority to get on a list for subsidized house rent. That can take some time. Stressed out is not an option when you have kids you have to do what you can to support a healthy loving environment. If you have been a Secretary you have employable skills, your man is obviously handy as a foreman. You have to start now, get your resume ready and put it out there. As for the living in place, even with bad credit you can get apt to rent with little issue. Might not be the best one in town, but it is a temporary roof while you two get you new life going. Try hard and I have trust that you can get to where you need to be.
Best of luck and keep trying.
