Plant foods are loaded with absorble iron. The natural vitamin C will allow you to metabolize the iron in leafy green vegetables. Raw shredded beats with a good Bragg's Salad dressing with other diced or chopped vegetables will give you iron.

Beans also have a good source of iron.

Google this question. Plant foods are loaded with it.

It's way gross, but liver is the highest in iron. If it were me, I would just take an iron supplement. However, you need to consult a physician about a proper dosage as too much iron can be very harmful.

The most absorb-able able form of iron is the form found in red meats. And while you are enjoying a nice thick juicy porterhouse steak, take some vitamin c to further increase absorption.

My dad has the same problem. The doctor told him DARK green vegetables such as spinach & aspargus & brussel sprouts (fresh not canned). Red meat (but not liver as it's off the charts high in sodium) You can also check various cereals that are high in Iron such as most Oatmeals.

Pasta is great most are iron enriched and if you dont mind spinach to much add some to your pasta sauce even if its just a little cause the nutrients in that and the tomatoes and pasta bind and you absorb all the nutrients

Meat, particularly beef. Also oysters, sea weed, lots of others.

Beef jerky is a good snack for iron.
