I think, when you are with him, every day is a date. And it isnt necesarry for him to ask you. But maybe you should, and maybe he will get the idea, that he also needs to ask you out like you did to him.

Perhaps he has become comfortable and thinks dates at this point aren't necessary. He would be wrong.
Explain to him that you want to continue dating each other. (Even married people need to continue dating each other.) The date doesn't have to be expensive...heck there's a lot to do for free.
Go for a walk, take a drive (okay, gas and wear and tear cost...but it's worth it...lol) go to the dollar movies or a matinee. There are tours in most cities that are free or cost very little.
You need to communicate with your boyfriend. That will be not only the first step but one of the most important things you can do to help your relationship survive.

Ask him to the movies, or something along those lines. We aren't living in the days when only a boy could ask a girl out. It's the 21st century and girls ask guys out all the time.

Maybe he is strapped for cash. Maybe he can't afford to take you on a date or he's ashamed of his life style. There are so many things that could be the answer. I'm a male and I can't take women out on dates cause I don't drive.
Ask him but don't sound like you're trying to get it out of him, if he's truly your boyfriend you'll find out why.

we are now in 2007, its about time that women get off the notion of being asked out, if his your boyfriend why cant the date picking be split up. ask him to go out. and he will return the favour later on

men are not the only ones who are supposed to make the move or ask you out. Ask him out on a date. i know it's makes us ladies feel good if the man asks but what are you going to do if he doesn't.
