It happened a few years ago, when my English was worse than it is now :-) That was the last thing I heard from him. He was a very nice boy and we seemed to get along well... I didn't do anything wrong, or at least I wasn't aware of anything that might had hurt him. It still bothers me when I recall. What was that supposed to mean? Any idea?

You may have been flirting with him or leading him on in some way where he thought that he had a chance to hook up with you. Your intentions may have been simply having someone to hang out with as friends. By the way you acted towards him, it sounds like he may have gotten the wrong idea. Innocent flirting can often lead to a guy getting his hopes up that he will be able to get it on with you.

I guess he thought you were the female-version of a player...

Ahh... you - a player?... No.. the proper word would be 'Flayer'.. a female version of 'player'...
A player is someone (usually a guy) who 'plays the field'... dates multiple partners without any strings attached... and knows how to handle multiple partners at once..

I don't see why he said that to you. A player is somebody who goes out with a bunch of people, sometimes all at once. It doesn't really make sense.
