The closest to "loving" a food I didn't used to like is tomatoes. I didn't much like veggies as a kid and my crazy aunt tried to force a cherry tomato down my throat. For years afterwards, the slightest taste of tomato would make me gag big time. I couldn't even handle pizza when I was a young teen. My older sister gradually introduced me to such delights as ketchup, and I kept trying over the years to get used to tomatoes. Now I like them quite a bit.

I guess the runner-up to that would be either bell peppers, squid, or hot spicy food.

That's a tough one, I like all foods for the most part. I'd have to say coconut. I hated the smell as a kid. But my mom gave me coconut haystacks once and I discovered I really did like coconut!

Also, frozen spinach. I hated it as a kid. But I've grown to totally love it and it's always in my freezer.

The big massive stinkbomb named Durian. It stinks terribly, but tastes quite good. Hailed in Singapore as the king of all fruits.

Raw oysters. Oh they are so good even though they look like big boogers. A dash of hot sauce and a cracker and an ice cold beer. mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Sushi. I didn't think it was going to be horrible, just, well, not that great. Certainly not worth the price.

Turns out it's almost as good an idea as potato chips.

We were having a party at work one day and one of the recipes was for chili/cranberry meatballs (A can of chili sauce and a can of whole cranberry sauce) It sounded nasty but was actually really good.
