There is no right or wrong answer. I just want to know people's perception as to why there is a point and why there isn't a point.

jikg,
I am spiritual, so all views make me happy in an aspect. There is something interesting I noticed. Both sides are the same. One side is about God/Gods are real. The other is about God/Gods is just a concept in our mind (not real).
The two sides try to prove or disprove God/Gods existence. The reason is because it gives the individual meaning whether or not God/Gods existence is real.
I had a dicussion with an atheist the other day and it actually started getting interesting. He closed the question before I could give him the full answer. It is possible for God/Gods to exist in our mind and to exist out of our minds at the same time. It is difficult to put into words, but it can be done.
Thanks for the honest answers everyone.

Well. First off, I am a christian. I believe in the one true and living God, Jehoviah.
I worship jehoviah because I have found out that this is the truth. I have read the Bible and have followed to the best of my ability what it says. In doing this I have found that it rings sound and true. I have also reasearched most other religions and have found none as fulfilling as christianity. After becoming a christian ,and a REAL one at that, i believe that I have seen the light and hope that the rest of the world will see it to. i just hope that they will find it within themselves and serve the one true master and stop wandering aimlessly in the darkness of sin and shame and wholey commit to Jesus. He asks for just a small gift in reture for eternal life. If you let him into your heart he will be your guide and protector through thick and thin, he will be there when things go wrong and right. He will all be there to carry you when you fall and when you feel like you have failed him, he encourages you and helps you to go on. Throuhg his power and his might we are able to to all that we need. All our needs are supplied and what ever we want we can ask of him and he will grant it to us.
This is why I serve God, my service to him fulfills me spiritually and physically. it is because of him why I can face tomorrow and why I have been able to face today.
Be blessed.
To refute the answer directly above mine...God has been proven numerous times. Not only during the Bible days but also in the present times as well......just thought I would add this.

I do not believe in God/gods for the following reasons:
As a sceptic, I believe eveerything is to be thought of as false until proven true. god has not been proven, therefore I am to assume he is not real.
Science on the other hand has managed to produce various, reliable alternatives to religious texts.
If I choose the wrong religion, the real God would not be happy. I feel safer neutral.
And finally, I don't want to be associated with the extremeists.

I don't 'believe' in God but I am of the opinion that there is something beyond what we are able to observe in this universe and that that something is probably responsible for the existence of the universe. I 'believe' (to use your word) this because it seems more likely to me than the notion that the universe and its physical laws are self-generating or that the universe has existed for all time and was never created by anything.

There is no reason to believe in gods. There is no proof. If religion were real there would only be one. People would not be born atheists. Religions would all be the same. An all powerful god would give it's religion all over the world, not wait for fanatical zealots to spread it.
It is the most absurd idea ever.

I believe in God because when I look in the mirror, I see one of His many miracles. Yes, the day I was born was a miracle. To think I grew from a seed that was planted in my Mothers womb, many many years ago! Then I look up at the sky and see the sun in the daytime and the stars and moon at night. And then in the daytime, I look around me and see all the beautiful races of people. Green Grass, flowers, trees waters, etc. in the summer, In the winter, I see the beautiful white snow. God created a beautiful world. To bad some people don't appreciate it!

I believe in God because the trials that I have overcome, I could never have done on my own. I have make stupid decisions in my life that should leave me dead, but by Gods grace alone I know that I am breathing because of Him today. As Romans 1:20 says "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse". His attributes have shown them self in my life, and I really am without excuse to deny Him.

I believe in God because he is perfect and without him not is possible. He has played a major part in my life that's so real that, even if I told the story no one will believe. But because of the blessings he has placed in my life I believe that Jesus is the Christ and that he died on the cross for our sake. God is marvelous and I enjoy his every presence in my life. Through my faith in God in the name of Jesus Christ, he has delivered me from the depths of my distresses.

Jesus Christ said if we ask him, he will put his Spirit inside our heart,( Soul ) Any true Christian will tell you that the Spirit of God lives inside them. Once God puts his Spirit inside you, then you will never doubt if God is real or not.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
There are many, many, more Bible verses found in the Bible that talk about God putting his Spirit inside of us, read it and see for yourself.
