yes he is too old as a date so I wouldn't if i were you, saying that my first boyfriend was 26 and i was only 16 at the time and 2 years of relationship with him hasn't been a very good experience for me, if this guys asking you out I would think he is a bit wierd...An advice date someone nearer to your age in order to have more fun and gain confidents in life...good luck

I wouldnt go. He obviously wants to be more than a friend and your not into that idea. So to accept his invitation would just boost his hopes. 'leading him on' kind of way.
All you have to do is say sorry but you dont think its a good idea. If he asks why, tell him the truth that you get the feeling he wants more but you feel the age difference is too great and it wouldn't work.

I don't think he's too old, a 17-year-old female friend of mine has been dating a 25-year-old guy for three years now! Of course, then, only you have met him and can know if, as a person, he's someone you'd better get rid of.

The age gap wouldnt be such a problem if you were older. Besides you already said you dont like him in that way. Go as a friend if you want but nothing more :)

well, I personally WOULDNT go for it but thats my personal choice - so what YOU think feels right.... if u have to ask us random online types then u probably know in ur heart that it doesnt feel right at present!!! Men who r that age expect more from a relationship if thats what he wants and if not then he may well be like MOST 24yr olds i know - looking for some no strings fun - which will possibly mess with ur head.... as i said though - totally YOUR decision!!!!! Good Luck! xxxx

He is too old for you - not because of the age gap, but because you aren't comfortable with it. Different age gaps suit different people, what is important is how YOU feel. And I think you know that :)

I suppose here in u.k. they may say he`s too old for you however age is just a number n if you feel you can handle it,don`t break the law but, enjoy whatever.

He's not too old for you at all, but you shouldn't go out with him because you're clearly not interested! Coming on here was a delaying tactic, if you don't want to go out with him, just don't!
