A friend of mine that I served with recieved a honorable discharge after his initial four years were up, and then several months later, he transitioned into the Active Reserves from Inactive Reserves. He is currently recieving an Other Than Honorable from the Reserves. Is he still eligible to use his G.I. Bill/ACF since it was based on his active duty contract?

I would suggest that your friend contact the Veterans Adminastration or your Local County Veteran Service Officer in your area.

If he got an OTH from the reserves then he can kiss his GI bill goodbye.

Not sure, the VA will have a concrete answer for him, though.
