I had one for awhile but got rid of it because it was not comfortable at all. Too lumpy and rock hard.

I had to shop for a futon for my boss and was amazed by the different sizes and heights. They even have one that is a single bed that folds into like a one person armchair. My boss has it in his living room with a cover on it because he has a dog and it is easy to clean. I have sat on it many times and it is just as comfortable as a couch.

Depend on the one you get. I had one from IKEA and it was a nice bed and all but its a pain in the neck when its in couch position. I suggest you try it out at the store before buying it. And I mean sit there for longer than 20 seconds. Like 10 to 20 minutes.
