It's unfortunate that anyone takes him seriously. Many of his predictions have been wrong, but he'll just write it off as, "I'm not right all the time."

Pat Robertson is not someone I put much stock into. However, on this issue, he may in fact be right. Not so much that God *really* spoke to him about it, but that we could be on the verge of more terrorist attacks. I am sure he knows that, too, and probably came out with this "prediction" just so he can say he was right if it actually happens. After all, the tsunami that he predicted to hit the U.S. last year never happened, so he has to redeem himself somehow, heh...

He may well have heard from God, I would not be surprised if he did. He seems to get worse case scenarios when he seeks a word from the Lord for upcoming years. Prophecies can be modified by our actions, note Jonah's prophecy to the ninevites did not come to past since the people repented. Really, I don't believe John's prophecies in revelation HAVE to come to past (but unfortunately, they probably will). I think a lot more people have started praying fervently since 9/11, and so although there is a desire to nuke a US city, the plans will be thwarted by the intercessors.

did you actually mean to type "perdition"? If so, that is funny as all get out.
I would say for once, he is pretty close to being right.
(for those that don't know, perdition is the loss of the soul or eternal damnation).

Last year he claimed a tsunami would hit the U.S. in 2006, dead wrong; and before that he predicted Bush's Social Security reforms would pass., also wrong. Since most of what he says anyway are lies, propaganda, and hatred, things not of God, I usually don't believe him. He does not speak for God or anyone else, except for his own little twisted, paranoid self.

only God know the eternal fate of each one of us.
perdition: a state of final spiritual ruin; loss of the soul; damnation.
