Question

my dad hates my bf and my bf preposed to me on new yrs.
how the hell am i supposed to tell my dad ?
my dad thinks hes a spoild selfish guy whos a bully.
but hes really sweet once you get to know him and hes not the most understanding guy but he always try to help . even though he messes stuff up alot.
hes just a tad emotionly blind, stuck up and doesnt know how to say things in a kind way but hes a good guy once you get past his many faults.

but how do i tell my dad ???

Well, from how you describe your boyfriend.... I would be wondering how you should tell him that you are not going to marry him.

Remember.... people don't really change. If you think that he will become more understanding, quit messing stuff up, become more emotionally aware and less stuck up after your married you are in for heartbreak.

I'm all about rebellion, but in this case your dad is right. If you really DO want to marry this guy, set the wedding date for two years from now. If you see improvements in your guys charachter then go for it!

The things you said about him aren't good even with you trying to sugar coat them. Sounds to me that maybe you should give your dad a little credit and re-evaluate this guy before you marry him. Emotionally blind, stuck up, selfish and spoiled doesnt sound like the husband I'd like to have.

well i think that if your boyfriend really loves you and wants to get married then he should have a talk with your dad to prove that hes a good enough guy for his daughter.also you should have a talk with him yourself and tell him that he needs to be a little bit nicer ect... and if he loves you then he'll do it for you and then you can prove it to your dad:) hope it helps
