i just CAN'T get up in the morning. i have to wake up at 6:00 am everyday for school. i go to sleep at 10 or 10:30 pm, and i just CAN'T get up the next day, and i'm still soooo tired in school. but i've noticed that on weekends, even when i go to sleep at 7 am, I am easily able to wake up at 9 or 10 am. isn't that weird?? why is this?

my x boyfriend had the same problem maybe you should look into purchasing a sonic boom clock. It virbrates under your pillow or mattress when your alarm goes off. its like a little disk thing but its extremely powerful. It has extremely good reviews for people who can't get up in the morning and my x boyfriend got it and it worked for him! so check it out. and your condition is complelty normal. If you want to purchase a sonic boom clock I recommend amazon its the cheapest and they can run 25$ + good luck

I completely agree with Amy!

When I read your question, I thought I was reading something my daughter had written. You are two peas in a pod. She CAN NOT get up and get to school on time at all. We've been threatened with a truancy officer and she still can't do it. However, when the weekend comes around, she can fall asleep easily and get up easily no matter what time it is.

I wish you the best because it does not get any easier when you become an adult and have to get up at 6 am to go to work.

I know that I have serious problems getting up when I know I have to go to school. Plus, the stress makes you even more tired. You should try going to bed a little earlier, and allowing yourself about 20 minutes to wake up. Good Luck!

I have that problem too, I just can't seem to get out of bed even when I get to bed really early. For me I think the fact that I stress about going to school and that there is so much on my plate when it comes to school projects, along with working etc, it just makes it harder for me to want to get out of bed, but on the weekends I know I can put things on hold for a moment and have a little fun and it's easier for me. It's kind of like we can do things we enjoy much more rather than do things we don't like as much...hopefully that makes sense. =)

Motivation. You're motivated to sleep on days when you don't want to do something - school. Also, you sound like a typical night person. I'm like that. I can go to bed at 10pm and have trouble getting up at 6am. But I can go to bed at 3 am and easily get up at 10am.

For some of us, our biology favors late morning sleep.

It sounds like that is just what your body rythmns are or as you might hear, you carcadian cycle. My advice would be to go running or exercise in the morning even if your half asleep. This will get everything awake. It might still feel unpleasant to get up at that time but atleast you will be functional.

Maybe you have more to sleep off with the stress.

You should talk to a doctor about it and get blood work done. You could be anemic or something.
