Mexico also has the very same immigration problem as the US.
So does the UK.
So does the Spain.
So do many other countries.

You think the world will just become one nation with the UN secretary being the leader?

We can't get anybody in the US to agree on anything. There's no way the entire world will unite on anything.

Maybe in the near future. All it would take is one charismatic and very ambitious world dictator that could hold people in his spell, same as Hitler or Stalin were able to do for a short period of time. But probably not in our lifetimes as the horrors of totalitarian regimes are still fresh in our minds.

If we do the conditions would be miserable. I used to think this is the way things would be, too, about thirty years ago. Humans won't live well that way. Maybe if the gray aliens take over, there would be a greater bonding of all people, but otherwise

It will only become one 'country' if a government apparatus forces it unto the peoples of the world; people would never voluntarily go for this. If they truly wanted that, it would've happened naturally already.

NO! If blacks and whites can't get along in this country without accusations of racism ... If our First Nations people can';t get along without similar accusations, how can we EVER become one country. Note in particular France. She has over one million Muslims who will NOT integrate into French Society. If it ever does become as you suggest i(and I doubt it) it will be under Muslim domination.

When Martians land - wouldn't that change things?!!
Or, would every world leader want to be the first to kill them?
People really should unite, if just for the sake of mankind.

Ok, if that should happen, I'm sure they would call it the
"United Corporations of Planet Earth".

The world IS but one country. It's men who cut out borders and pimp out nationalism. I think the world in the future will be smaller municipalities governed by manageable little democracies...I can dream right? lol.
