I've heard that there isn't a direct translation. But even slang is good. Oh and no i'm not planning to go strip in mexico!

You are right in that the word stripper does not translate into Spanish directly. Most commonly the woman is just referred to as a whore or hooker with terms: puta or prostituta.
A site I found that can be used to translate words or sentences into Spanish is: translation2.paralink.com It can translate from English to Spanish, Spanish to English and several other languages (including French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Italian). Just in case you want to translate stripper into any other language, there you go!

Hey there.
That'd be "desnudista" (one who gets naked) or simply "bailarina" or bailarín if male (dancer). Like you said, there isn't a direct translation, so people usually call them "bailarina de nightclub"
Some countries call male strippers (slang) maripepinos. Which would awkwardly translate to: mary-cucumber (?!)...but that's how it goes.

It does not translate but puta would be a good place to start or prostituta.
