I have little money an undergraduate dgree in social science and a conviction (6 years ago) theft from an employer, i want to emmigrate to new zealand with my nine year old and be a social worker. whats my chances?

I think it depends on if your crime was deemed as a felony offense. You might want to check New Zealand's goverment web site and do some looking around. Good luck and best wishes!

Your criminal conviction if a felony could be an issue for immigration and work. If you are able to immigrate I would think that you could get a social work position in some areas and not in others.
