I would not drink at all, even if you can, simply because...well, I do not know how to put it nicely, but you sound like an alcoholic in the making. You are not even on the flight yet and are thinking of reasons to justify your drinking and thinking of alcohol as an "out" for a situation. And, by the way, how do you know you will not be the annoying person (especially if you become intoxicated)? And a crying baby does not mean it is not being parented properly. I have been on an international flight- it can be uncomfortable, stressful, etc.- and as an adult I know how to cope but a young child does not. I assure you the parents are more distressed over any disruptive child than you are!

The amount of oxygen in a glass of water would change your %SpO2 levels an immeasurably small amount, EVEN if the entire glass of water was absorbed into your blood stream instantly. I don't know where you got this answer, but whoever told you this did you no service by feeding this misinformation to you.

As you grow older, your veins and arteries usually have some hardening and your circulation becomes compromised. This is often why the elderly have hypertension and other health problems. If the blood is unable to circulate through the body easily, the oxygen is unable to reach the tissues as readily. Smoking definitely creates problems with circulation, and so does high fat, high calorie diets. Those with other pulmonary problems also will show lower blood oxygen saturation levels.

To correct this, all you need to do is drink oxygenated water. Do this simply by getting a cheap aquiarium air pump, and a new stone. Drop the air stone in a glass of water for about 30-60 seconds. Drink the water, The oxygen goes right to to your blood.
