I would like to learn Italian - and I have a good Spanish base - but I would like to branch out. There are a million options - books, CDs, CD-ROMs. Does anyone out have one they swear by?

Thanks.

Well, the only pearning program that worked for me to lear French was to enroll in the French Alliance. Other than that, not guaranteed

I learned Spanish in a few months using a simple learning CD then listening to spanish radio, watching spanish TV, talking to myself in spanish (instead of English) all the time.

While I realize they don't have these things in Italian. Maybe you could get some Italian videos or find something online in a Italian script.

Just a thought

I have been using Pimsleur for a few months. I've already made it through 60 lessons in my car. I'm ready for German III. I really enjoy it, but I haven't done the reading part they supply. I understand and speak, but do not read or write. I'm sure if I knuckled down with the book, I could remedy that.
