im sorry but i think your question is inaccurate in its assumption. to be a believer people are not required to believe 100%. Most people do not have a perfect faith. It is because of grace and mercy that men are saved. and then only because of the atonement of christ. Salvation is free.
however when a perfect knowledge is given, than there is a pure knowledge of faith that is understood. but even still a person who has a perfect knowledge, though he has faith, must toil through study and tears to know waht the truth is and what to believe in.
an agnostic may desire to believe and may not have all the facts to conclude his belief to be correct.
so he still has some belief, even probably when he actually insists he doesnt have any belief the question in the godpart of the brain will always be there.

After years of B.S. by Christianity, I turned atheist. But my own path dictated that if there logically cannot be a God because of a lack of proof, then there also cannot be an absolute absence of ANYTHING in the universe.
Not to say that I am "looking" for a deity; on the contrary, I do not believe in the concept of a "supreme being." I have accepted the fact that I will never know the absolute reality of creation nor the existence of an afterlife, since I do not exist in either place.
What I do belive in is the power I have over my own existence, and the ability to create my own world without threats of "sin" or eternal damnation. I am responsible for my own actions and happiness. But I am NOT "on the road back to Christianity" by any means!
I think that a lot of self-professed atheists actually agree with the vagaries of agnosticism rather than the absolutism of atheism. Agnosticism is more of an "I don't know, but I'm willing to find out" belief system.

You don't have to believe 100% for one thing... Agnostic is a person who doesn't claim to KNOW for sure if there is a God. I would have to say that is the most honest approach as neither side has any proof to give another person. That is basically the definition. As for each individual Agnostic, I wouldn't want to speak for them as individuals.... I have no idea exactly how each one views this topic.

Well, technically no person can say that they truly know for sure who or where or what or if god is. So honestly we are all agnostic by default. We label ourselves according to our beliefs in what cannot be proven, in this case. I am an atheist because I do not believe in god, even though I cannot prove he doesn't exist any more than you could prove he does. It just makes more sense to me to not believe due to lack of evidence, than to believe. I hope this helps. Peace

Couldn't God carry out this task himself? I mean, part of atheists not believing is because all the words of supposed God comes from other people, right?

Agnostic is a believer in the existence of God, but not an adherer to any certain form of religious dogma.

I think it means "I don't care" when they are true agnostics. Huxley coined the term because he was tired of being called an atheist.

100% belief is not 100% knowledge. A wise man understands that and is not bothered by silly semantic ramblings.

You need to Believe Jesus is God
That He died for your sins
That He can save you from destruction
And that He can answer your prayers.
