Life Imprisonment - which is something to think about.

Just discussing this can be seen as conspiricy to commit murder, if someone doesn't like you you could find yourself in court already for what you have put on this web site (depending on what other conversations you are having down the pub, and who's on your hate list or whatever has brought you to ask this question). Hopefully you are considering studying Law.........

It's not something to dick about with.

With murder and manslaughter there are mitigating circumstances, and contributing facts that are considered and that is why a judge offers judicial advise. It also depends on the whether you show remorse etc. It can be from 12-15yrs. Here in england life does not always mean life

The maximum possible penalty is life imprisonment.

Mike S, all things considered, it's probably *not* the death penalty, what with it being against UK and EU law.

Life: This is a very serious offence. It may also be 'termed' - 'conspiracy to commit murder' in common law the sentence can be natural life.
