The bible gives them license to murder. We are only doomed if they regain sufficient power. Our philosophical backwardness will soon allow the EU to take our place as the world's predominant enlightened society and they will not allow that to happen.

No, you are speaking of the true muslims there. If our lives here on earth, determine our eternal state, meaning, living or dying forever, and we happen to know about it, then I am glad for the knowing of it. Some things we cannot change. Our sins are sending us to hell, unless we follow the way of escape. Only in that sense, and that is remote at best, is it in a form of believe or die. It is like a person finding out a cure for something big, and sharing the good news, and not keeping it a secret.
As for crusades, those that kill innocents for any reason, in whatever name, have to answer for their sins, the same as you and I. I have never seen or heard of a crusade in a long time, and you have not either. It is not a problem, lol. Muslims on the other hand, if true ones, kill, and let themselves be killed. Ever wonder why the more moderate ones don't stand up to them? They KNOW they are the true ones, and that they are not exactly obeying in the same way. It could be, it is a false truth, and there are those in that religion that really doubt it, because their consciences are being pulled at big time.

You clearly have no understanding of TheTrue Christian Faith. Or of the truth of the reasons for the crusades.... you can go to the library and learn of the crusades if you are willing to put in the time.... As for understanding TheTruth of The Christian Faith... that can come only from God.... I can not help you there... but I could answer some basic questions if you were willing to listen.

First, the Crusades were wrong, and there were even at the time, voices speaking against it. As for believe in it or die, If there were any other way, why did Christ have to die? Wouldn;t that death then be in vain?

Did you know that the Crusades were in response to Muslim imperialism and aggression against christian lands? No....didn't think so.

but back to your question, it's more of a believe in it or burn in hell mentality. Not much better. If you're really looking for a believe it or die mentality, look no further than Islam.

Some Christian sects are very dominating, however if you want to talk about do it or die mentality talk about atheism. An atheist "knows" that this is the only life he is going to get, he believes his great great great grandpa is a monkey, he believes he is nothing special and only part of a natural selection system. He is destined for death and destruction, and actually gets off on it.....please, how can the atheist claim to be so superior to a Christian. Please...get a grip.
