I own two cats. My girlfriend loves me and has never judged me for having them. Many guys go by the stereotypical rule and think they have to have dogs. What do you ladies think? Do you go wiht the stereotypical rule as well or do you like a man who has a couple cats at home with him?

I think a man having a cat is great! Especially if they are spoiled rotten cats. The only reason I dont move in with my boyfriend is because he doesnt like my cats. And HES the one who got them for me. Go figure.

I think a guy with a cat is cool cuz i love cats myself and have 3.they can be a hand full sometimes but i still love them to bits so any guy with a cat or who loves cats is definitely in my good books. I don't like dogs I'm a cat person.

dogs are a little bit mor manly but cats are fine. It always depends on the type of girl if she doesn't like cats and she likes dogs she probably is going to go by the 'rule'. I'm a big fan of both cats and dogs so i don't really mind a guy with cats? So if your gf likes cats she probably doesn't mind.

Dogs are scavengers and weak animals as they can't fend for themselves. Cats are predators and completely self sufficient. You find the meanest pitbull and put him up against a tiger....I'll take the tiger. In fact if you could get a ordinary housecat and increase its size 4 fold...up to about 50 pounds....that cat would annihilate any dog weighing even 180 pounds.
Cats are the REAL mans animal.

honestly... i hate cats!! ...but my sister wood probly think your gorjuz. cats make a man look more gentle and caring. Dogs seem to make men more tough and non-emotional. Either way you are still a man though and i dnt think people will mind that you have cats. My mates have cats and even though i hate them i have accepted that they like them and their pets are apart of them.

I have two cats and a dog. My b/f loves all three animals. It doesn't matter to me what kind of a pet a guy has (as long as it's not a boa or some reptile) as long as the pet is cared for, that's all that matters.

Well honestly, I think that if a guy is sensitive enough to take care of any animal, then that makes him a real man, and it shows that he can love. Besides, cats are cute.

I love cats! My boyfriend doesn't...so if a girl plans on owning cats in her future she better be with a guy that likes them too.

I dont like cats altogether, so if I were to be dating someone with cats and had to deal with them, yeah, it would bother me. However, I have never met a guy that lives with cats either.

A pet's a pet. I love animals so I would prefer a guy with a few cats and/or dogs. It kind of reveals a nuturing side to them.
