Joseph interpreted the Pharoah's dreams meaning there was going to be a famine. That was God's way of warning them to prepare for it. Do you think God still speaks to us in our dreams and we need to find ways to interpret them to find meaning?

I most certainly do. As you've pointed out, the Bible supports that. In Numbers, God specifically tells Aaron and Miriam that when he speaks to most people, He speaks to them in "dreams and visions."

The challenge is often sorting out your own regular dreams from the ones that the Lord sends. My experience has been that God's messages stand out long after I'm awake, are more clear and specific, and seem to move me emotionally and stir my spirit. My regular dreams often fade fast after awaking. Sometimes God's dreams don't require interpretation because of their clarity, and sometimes they do.

Some dreams use regular, common symbols that can be interpreted by their use, purpose, or situation, but I've learned that God's dreams use things that have special meaning to me alone and are often things that I am immediately dealing with. Sometimes the Lord will give you someone who can interpret dreams, but be careful, because some people will inject their own meaning. It is better to simply write out a dream that you feel might be from God and ask him for interpretation in prayer.

Also, some dreams come in series -- that is, more than one dream on the same subject. The message from one dream may be interpreted by a following dream. This can be a bit confusing, but also exciting as you learn how the Lord wants to communicate with you specifically through your dreams!

From a Christian perspective:
Anything God says, whether it is a dream, vision, "still small voice" etc., will agree completely with what He has already revealed in His Word. Dreams cannot be put into a place of authority over the Scriptures. Again, IF God were to speak to a person in a dream, His message would be in perfect agreement with His Word. Due to our belief in the inspiration, authority, and sufficiency of Scripture, we find it highly unlikely that God regularly speaks through dreams today. At the same time, we cannot conclusively deny the possibility based on Scripture.
If you have a dream and feel that perhaps God gave it to you, prayerfully examine the Word of God and make sure your dream is in agreement with Scripture. If so, prayerfully consider what God would have you do in response to your dream (James 1:5).

So the simple answer is yes, God can and does speak through dreams.

Perhaps. God speaks to us through many ways: His Word, through the Holy Spirit, through others, and through circumstances.

Although an angel appeared in a dream to Joseph, stepfather of Jesus, there isn't much about God speaking to you in your dreams.

I had a dream once, and I know it was from God. It happened 30 years ago, and I still remember every detail. I don't rule out any method God chooses to communicate with us.

If you feel you are having dreams from God, and you want to know what they mean, pray for God to lead you to the right person. The person you select to interpret your dream is crucial. Don't go to a "medium", or any occult. Seek a Christian man or woman.

But, you know, the best thing to do, is to ask God. Ask Him to explain your dream to you. He is the best source. He might lead you to a scripture, a story in the Bible, or it might be by something some says.

Seek God's guidance first. Don't just go off and hunt someone down on your own.

Be careful, stick close to God.

Dream interpretation is an ancient pagan tradition that was carried over to Judaism and later to Christianity. I do think that you can find meaning in dreams though. A dream is your subconscious trying to work out a problem – it doesn’t have to be literal or obvious. That is what makes dream interpretation so hard. There is no universal way of doing it (although there are people who would tell you that there is).

no, dreams are your subconscious working out your hopes and problems symbolically and doing the house keeping, tidying away all the useful stuff you found out that day and dumping the garbage. try getting someone to wake you up every time you go into REM sleep and you will become ever so forgetful even if you still have your full 8 hours. if it was just a spiritual message board it wouldn't affect you this way. and while I'm at it why haven't the Egyptians left any records of Joseph or the Hebrews, the aipiru and hyksos were not Hebrews.

Yes i do believe that dreams are God's way of talking to us. Even telling us when something is going to happen. I had a dream that i was in a room and that there was a window in front of me. allof a sudden a baseball came through the window and hit me in the head..i woke up..
The next day i went to school. My friend tells me how her brother was driving in his car and a baseball came flying through the window and hit him in the head. He was in the hospital in a coma. The ball came from some kids playing baseball and the ball being hit over the fence.
So,yeah God sends dream to talk to us and also warn us of danger and that we must pray. I've had many dreams and waken up to find out that they have come through. I don't have dreams like those any more .It's to horrible to know that something is going to happen and you couldn't stop it. I guess i just block them out as i got older.

God can use dreams to speak to us, but he has many other ways of communicating.

Most dreams are just our minds unwinding all the information they have accumulated through the in very strange ways. If your day was focused on God perhaps that will lead your dreams to be God focused too.

No.
Figuratively, they are the products of our subconscious. During nighttime when the brain is not "busy", they become more apparent and it felt like we have been seeing them or they are actually happening.
But some claim and believe they are God's way of talking to mankind. Faith or spirituality is another dimension. As they say, we can never reconcile Science and Religion. But if some people have made a connection to it and proved true in their lives, then its alright.

God has spoken and will speak in dreams.

Job 33:14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
Job 33:15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
Job 33:16 Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,
Job 33:17 That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

Yes. How can I say this with certainty? I've had more than enough prophetic dreams, which pertained to my personal life, that have come true, to the letter. I also dreamed of the Air India Bombing, and Sept 11th, before it happened.
This confirmes to me, that the True God, speaks to me.
