I have DTV also, but I pay about $48 a month for everything (HBO, Showtime and I own the receivers).

Call them up and see what specials they are offering for long time customers.

I get $10 off per month for 6 months and the movie channels for $2.

It really depends on what programming you get, and what provider you have. I have Time Warner here in the OC, and have digital cable as well as high speed Internet. Both combined cost me about 100 bucks. I would probably go with cable.

They are about the same. The only reason I went with cable was the chanel line up is what I'm used to. I'm thinking about switching to dish next year to get more football games.
