should i do a protection ritual before using my ouija?
last night i was using it because i kept feeling like someone was watching me, and I was the only one in the house. So i grabbed my ouija and started asking questions. It didn't do anything at first, I was about to put it up.
suddenly when i was about to move it to goodbye.
it went to each corner of the board.
and started spelling stuff out that made no sense.
Should i use protection spells before using the ouija?
like the lesser banishing ritual or something.

I am wiccan I know quite a few protections incantations however, I am not sure if I would need the protection or not.

You should do the banishing spell before you start and doing the middle pillar ritual first should also be done. then afterward do the lesser banishing spell again.

Look, I'm 14 year practicing Pagan and witch and I believe in spirits and things that have yet to be explained by science, but even I don't believe in a Ouija Board. It's a kids game sold by Parker Brothers. I just can't put much belief into that. However, if you got the feeling you were being watched, then do a protection spell on yourself and your home. (Not banishing, as you don't know exactly what it is you are banishing. If you are going to do a spell at all, your intent needs to be exact.)

If you're serious - and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you're serious and not mocking those of us that believe in the Ouija board - you absolutely should not be using it alone. I'm Wiccan, and I believe very strongly in the power of a Ouija board. There are other planes with all kinds of benevolent and malicious "spirits" inhabiting them, and using a Ouija board allows both to contact you, and stick around for as long as they wish.
I highly recommend that you not only stop using the Ouija board, but that you burn it. I had a very bad experience with the Ouija board in my teens (and incredibly stupid), and burning it is the only way to close the door to the energies you've invited into your personal space. If you really do want to dabble in that kind of spirit communication, find a Psychic Circle. Because the letters are in a circle, it makes it harder for "mean" energies to enter the board and communicate with you. But even then I don't recommend it.
Ouija boards are not good things. And you should NOT be using one solo. Ever.

if you do that nothing may be able to come through. while my mom has had VERY BAD experiances with the ouija board, i have not. some people think its crap and doesnt work. sometimes i think that it is real and sometimes i think its just your subconcious. i did it with my mom once and she can do it by herself. i asked the ouija a question about a word i was thinking of, a completely random word, i think it was LAVA. and it spelled it out when only my mom was doing it. Ive even actually had it spell out satan over and over again once and i almost burned it. If it makes you feel more comfortable, then do whatever it takes to make you feel better. but dont do too much or the spirits may not come through at all. but you should be fine since "they" are on the other side. good luck!

I don't like to toss the "evil" word out like a fundie, but with the Ouija board and related things I make an exception. The only ritual you need to be doing is an about face, grab the ouija board, and foward march to the trash can...preferably burn it over an open fire while tossing salt on it. I believe ouija boards open up doors that do not need to be opened, and let in things that don't need to come in. Buy a deck of tarot cards, it's way safer and more beautiful.

I have yet to find anyone who's had a good experience while dealing with a ouija board. Personally, I wouldn't use it, but if you are ready to deal with what manifests, I would most definately use a protection spell beforehand and do a smudging when you're done to disspell any negative energy still lingering.

Don't use it at all. Look, I'm Wiccan. I believe in the supernatural (though I think they're just things science hasn't yet explained). Ouija aren't toys and not all spirits are nice. You're opening the door to the Otherworld and you don't know what you're going to bring through. Not all spirits are ghosts and some are dangerous.

Why? They've never worked in the past. And why would you need protection from a Ouija board? It's just cardboard.
All of that stuff is pure bunk.

Call the ouija board tech support number. Sounds like a problem with your "spiritual drive."

You know, by playing with the Ouija board, you are playing with fire, and you can get burned.
I am a Christian, and I know that there are spirits out there, demonic, and you don't go near anything like that.
Stay away from that. I know, you want the thrill.
Having a relationship with God is the real deal.
