Because males are solitary and feel isolated. To appear soft or nice or yaddah is equated with being weak. Be strong and suffer in silence seems to be what results. I have a hard time interfacing with women and feel inadequate. It is a hard question you have posed. Probably dates back to when women kept the fires burning in the caves and talked to each other and watched the little ones and yaddah while the men went out and tried to kill something to eat; which made it necessary for them to keep quiet and be watchful so they didn't get killed and eaten by something else.

Because men are not as complicated as women, and see through to the problem, rather than analyze it to death. A man is a rather simple being. If all your man talks about is Nascar, and you want to know what is on his mind, chances are, its Nascar. Dont try to read too much into things we do and say, our impulses are much less complicated than yours- our thinking runs along these lines- Fix it, kill it, eat it, have sex with it or watch it. One of the above pretty much takes care of all obstacles or problems we face daily.

As with all the women I have been with, they only want to talk about things that interest them and dont care what the mans subject matter is. So after awhile we get tired of wasting our breath and we quit talking to them about the things that on our mind.

Because they are taught from childhood that they cannot cry like girls or express like girls do and should be strong and tough..which according to me is wrong. That way they get hard hearted.

believe me honey, us women wonder the same thing. in the end every guy has a sensitive side. they might not admit it at first but once you get to know them, its like "wow, you are crying at this movie?" you'll find that sensitive side in time. in time.
