I have TMJ for about a month now and at the begining there were click sound when I open or chew food, also have problem opening mouth(very slow). I had headache, neck and sholder pain.

But it's locked this week as I can only open my mouth that can allow only a size of a middel finger going through.

And today, it seems I can open up a very little bit more(2-3mm) but I had 3 of serve headache(left top center) just for a split second. 2 times when I was eating(chewing on right molar) and my jaw had some side way movement. 1 time when I tried to move my neck to the right.

I'm really scare because those headache is so quick but it was quite painful. Will nerve get in between anywhere inside TMJ? I'm worried that maybe nerve get in between so it cause these kind of pain? Do u think that's possible? I'm afraid the nerve will break and I can't move anymore. Anyone pls help!!!!

You need to call your dentist. You may need to have surgery to correct the problem. I have TMJ as well, I cannnot chew food that is chewy at all, like gum or taffy. I will get a migrane if I do. I have not had to have the surgery yet, but I have my dentist check it every time I go just to make sure it is not getting any worse.

7 years ago I've been involved in a car wreck and even since suffered with severe on and off facial and jaw pain. I've tried almost everything western medicine had to offer and had visited countless of specialist, had done ct scans, and therapies but to no avail. The doctors I have been to had persisted that there wasn't anything wrong with me and that almost drove me crazy as I was going through hell from this condition. According to all my symptoms I was diagnosed by a holistic doctor as having TMJ and he had recommended this book to me. After following the recommendation in the book for several weeks, it had changed my life. I got immediate relief after following the unique set of exercises in the book and after 2 weeks the jaw and face pain had completely gone. I only wish I would have ordered this program years ago. It would have saved me a lot of pain and anguish.

My friend. If I were you I wouldn't even worry about why the pain is there I would just get myself to a dentist in and emergency. If I couldn't find a dentist to take me in the next few hours I would probably go to the Emergency Room.

Good luck and feel better
