yes it is. they probably use "Postal Code" to demonstrate that not every country has something called a "Zip Code"; therefore you know that they are just talking about whatever equates to a Zip Code anywhere on the planet and it's all called a Postal Code, including ours.

a postal code is for Canada
and a zip code is for the USA
...but the same thing.
Postal code has 3 letters and 3 numbers....zip only has numbers
