believing in God , just to find out He is not real? As for me, I want to be safe not sorry. I know that I know that I know there is a GOD.

You are right, God exists. I'm also adept of rather safe than sorry though I am His due to a different reason. I love Him.

Either way would be devastating. If I am an Atheist who dies and finds out that He is real, I will go to Hell because of my grave mistake, but if I am a Christian who dies just to find out that everything I put my faith in was a lie, even if there was a heavenly afterlife anyway, it would be a heavy emotional blow because I love Him. But the latter option would be better than the former because at least there would be no Hell involved. But even without an afterlife, if Christians and Atheists all go to the same place when we die, I am happier being a Christian and knowing God.

i'd rather be safe than sorry as well. i choose the latter: "believing in God just to find out He's not real".

what happens if you back the wrong god and say, Quetzalcoatl is the real one and he decides to flay you alive and push cactus spines through various sensitive parts of your body for all eternity? all gods are equally viable or unviable toss a coin and pick one or join god of the month club.

What a coward you are! "I want to be safe not sorry"???? I know that I know that I knew there is no god. What makes you right and me wrong?

To say you believe in something just because you're covering your bets doesn't mean you really believe. It means you're not really sure, but you're too chickenpoop to say so.

Not again. I'm not going to give lip service to something out of fear, sorry.
