Unless you pay some social security tax on Schedule SE every year you will get no benefits when you retire. That should make you want to pay something each year.

Not sure what you mean....If you're self employed and you made money then you need to file taxes. There's no way around it unless you don't plan on getting caught or don't ever want to make a major purchase and use that income as security (ie home loan).
