I say don't do it-One time i dyed my hair and not knowing which brand was better Loreal or this other brand, my hair had some orange and I mean ORANGE stripes (was doing highlights) - I say get advice from a close friend, sis, even mom But to me blondes who are wanting to go darker not black for say should just dye their hair light brown; light ash brown or use shades that goes with high gloss enamels. Keeps your hair healthier than of just regular use crescendo shades. Check out links below. The second link shows brown shades that are really cute. (sorry having a girly moment ) Hope that helps.

Just remember that if your get a permit dye the only way to go back lighter is with bleach and it's really hard on your hair. I get a lot a clients with light hair that go darker and then think they can easily get it back to there natural color. I would suggest using a semi-permanent if this is your first time going darker. And even though on the box it tells you how long to leave it on make sure you check it every couple of minutes in the end because if your hair is dry it will suck up the color a lot faster and your ends will get very dark!! Hope this helps!!

you really shouldn't go more than 2 shades darker than the color you have now. i know you said you want to try loreal, but the clairol site has a great tool, for helping you pick a hair color. i love to play with my hair color, so i use it all the time. BTW, the 2 shades darker or lighter rule, applies to the color you hair is right now, not you're natural color. so you can always go 2 shades darker for now, and trust me that will be dramatic, and then if you still want to go darker, wait 3 weeks and go 2 shades darker again, although the results, more than likely will not be as dramatic as it is was first. For drama the second time, add red to the mix! My favorite color when i go darker, for drama is burgandy! I love the purplish color it gives me hair!

Try a warm dark brown. That way it doesn't make your complexion look drained. Loreal Feria has great shades to pick from so I'd stick with that.

Maybe a medium brown colour or brown lowlights. If you want to go darker, you could do dark brown and you could even add a little black or red or both.
