First of all, yes! Adenoids and tonsils do grow back. I had a personal experience with that with a close friend of 25 years.

My friend Philip in Canada had his adenoids removed at the age of 6. They grew back completely by the time he reached 40. He had to get them removed again!

He had symptoms such as ear blockages that wouldn't drain and the doctors didn't even consider that his adenoids grew back and surgically would drain them with a tube.

I noticed that when he talked he always sounded like his nose was stuffed up in the back of his sinus area. He sounded so strange to me so I just figured he had allergies.

He ended up with another surgery to remove a blocked lymph gland below his ear. This also was caused by clogged lymph glands because of his adenoids causing so much pressure.

If I were you, I'd let the doctor know about this so that you can get the correct procedure. Which is the removal of your grown back adenoids.

FYI, people's tonsils grow back, too because my brother Steve at the age of 45 had to go in after a sore throat only to be told that they grew back. He did not have them removed again.

Good luck!

Adenoids or tonsils, don't grow back, and they are not located in your nose but in the tissue around your throat-so if you are having difficulty breathing through your nose then it is probably something else. Maybe you have developed an allergic reaction to something.

Adenoids CAN grow back, but it's really really rare. It's more likely if they left part of the adenoid in place to speed healing (it depends on the type of surgery- find out if yours were fully removed- if not, you're at more of a risk for grow-back). Otherwise, you might be just be producing excess mucus. This could be caused by a cold or allergies. One way or another, go to your doctor.

no they don't grow back, i had mine taken out when i was 19 i also had my tonsils taken out too and i used to have breathing problems. but it can have a lot to do with your weight too because i was around 30 lbs over weight and i had to lose that along with getting them removed. so i don't know if your over weight but that can be a factor also. sorry i couldn't help more .

Probably just allergies. adnoids and tonsils aren't suppose to grow back if the doctor did a good job.
