One of two things: She is too weak to just say "it's over" or that she really just needs space and feels you are smothering her and a break up is on the way.

Well sometimes it could mean that yea they love you and all but you are stuck up their *** too much and they need some space but they don't wanna leave you. Other times it could be a so called nicer way to break up with you. So you might wanna ask and see for yourself the best thing to do is talk about it.

It usually means that they are considering ending it with you but need time away from you to consider your relationship. its not always bad though, they may realise what you mean to them and how much they like having you close to them.
