No, thats too much to realisitically acheive. Google the GI Diet by Rick Gallop and exercise every day and you will get roughly 8 - 10 per month;

I dont know what to tell you cause i'm 180 pounds too so I can't give anyone advice about fitness and I have 45 minutes of PE once a week but I have badminton on Mondays,Tuesdays and Thursdays.We have to run around the field twice then we stretch and then we start and if you didn't already know in badminton we have to move alot to hit the shuttle.I have been doing for 1 1/2 years and i have only lost 10 pounds.

I would say yes, but it would be unhealthy and you probably gain it back by December. If your goal is to reduce your dress size and fat ration i will recommend HIIT training and moderate fast paced free weights exercise. The idea behind HIIT training is to speed up your metabolism. For example on your elliptical machine select the interval mode and paddle at a moderate pace on the low incline and give everything on the Higher incline. the cycle works out to 2 minutes of moderate intensity to two minutes of high intensity. You will work up a sweat without burning yourself out. try it out for a week. As far as free weights go, they will help you look better, but you might actually increase your weight. muscles are more dense than fat.

A good soure is

50 pounds in 6 months? It's possible. You should want to lose about 1-2 pounds a week. Some weeks you may gain and some you may not lose or lose very little but keep working at it. Exercise is a great way to build muscle and burn fat but just keep in mind that muscle is denser than fat and it take more muscle to cover a given area. So if you build muscle you may not lose all the weight but you will change your body fat ratio. Lean muscle will make you look slimmer even if you don't loose all 50 pounds.

okay... get fitness magazine... or a different exercise mag. and get some exercise plans for building muscle. muscle burns fat and speeds up metabolism. drink eight glasses a day (water )and eat your fruit and veggies. avoid fast food and bad carbs and fats. good fats are in salmon, and nuts. eat those. eat dairy and eat 1200-1500. use the elliptical for 10 mins every day. next week do 15 mins every day. add 5 mins every week. use your ipod when you use the elliptical. it helps pass the time. and remember do your muscle building routine from the magazine of your choice. good luck and you can do it. oh, and keep a list of positive reminders of why your doing this when times get bleak
