U get your licence back only if U can prove that U have earned it! U will probably be asked to do a revision on your driving, the theory side of it and of course the oral as well. Whatever U lost your licence for it will hit your pocket were the insurance is concerned. A DUI your insurance may be 2.5 as much, if it concerns another pedestrian it may be 4 times as much than the normal costs. These days it pays to be sober behind any wheel.

looks somewhat harsh for a usual offence. even however, possible legally stress a protection stress motor vehicle on civilian roads and not using a civilian license. even however, they could or would possibly no longer (in case you're presently interior the protection stress) determine your edge of the story. in spite of everything, many, many human beings interior the protection stress stress autos with out civilian licenses. good success! EDIT: considering the fact which you're (presently) no longer interior the protection stress, do no longer difficulty approximately it *too* lots. common is 20 weeks, added preparation could be longer. As I observed above, to stress a protection stress motor vehicle, you do no longer desire a civilian license, you would be issued a definite protection stress License, and Civilian Courts have not have been given any jurisdiction over the protection stress, consistent with se. If the protection stress assigns you to stress a duece and a nil.5, regardless of your DUI, the court that hit you with a 20 month ban has no say, and protection stress using Time heavily isn't counted through the courts.

You can APPLY the next day.

You won't GET IT BACK until at least 5 years have elapsed.

Example: You lose it on 01 January 2007. You need to apply, and do all the other stuff they deem necessary, and then the earliest you can receive it is 02 January 2012.

after two thirds of your ban you can ask the court to allow you to drive on a limited basis IE to work and back, but you have to have a very very good reason and proof for your case to be considered esp with a 5 year ban! it is not like it was 12 months which would be hard enough
