I love red and silver, it's elegant, but not too masculine or feminine. Kinda neutral. I also think green and white looks good, but red and silver is my favorite.

If you are getting married in the Spring or Summer, light pastels look so lovely.. You can use one theme and one color flowers or many Flowers of many colors. My daughter married in the Summer and her dress was silk organza, with little blue flowers around the bottom and left side of the dress, the bridesmaids wore the same colored blue as the flowers in the Brides dress in chiffon. The little flower girl wore the lightest pink organza dress.. she looked so lovely.. The bride had a large bouquet of different flowers of very soft colors, with blue ribbons, and the bridesmaid had a smaller arrangements, of the same colors and flowers as the bride's .. All the colors in the flowers were soft and real pretty. The flowers at the reception and church were the same as in the bouquets. The linen at the tables were all in white, and with the flowers in different colors was stunning. It was a stunning wedding and ever after 2 years we still hear wonderful comments.
In the Autumn and Winter you could go with deeper color.. I attended one wedding in January a couple of years ago.. the bride had on a lovely silver beaded-satin dress, the bridesmaids were Deep Blue and silver, and the reception was all in Deep Blue and Silver.. it was very lovely.. they still had Christmas Trees and the trees were all ago in Silver.. very nice
I think whatever you decide stick to it and I am sure it will be lovely, there are Wedding Counsultans that will help you.. Good Luck..

It really depends on the season of your date. I'm having a fall/winter wedding so my theme is Black Tie Affair. My colors are black and white. I'll use silvers and grays and sparkling clear white lights to add some pizzaz. There are a ton ideas all over the internet, you just have to do some research. If you go to www.brides.com or www.weddings.com you can type in your area code and they'll show you real weddings of people who got married in your area. Also, I'm registered on The Knot, it's an online all-you-need-to-know resource site for weddings. It's really helpful. It helps you handle everything from schemes and colors, flowers and cakes, dresses and locations for your reception. It also has a budget calculator that I could NOT live without, it's help me so much (no, I don't work for them! I just really really like the site). Check it out at www.theknot.com. Good luck and congratulations.

My wedding was this summer and our color theme was blue. (Along with it was of course white and silver accents) It looked beautiful because it was outside by a lake. But we chose that color because it matches my engagement ring. It is blue topaz and a blue topaz signifies friendship, trust and monogamy. It is also Scorpio's birth stone (My husband is a Scorpio = Nov.6) and when given to an Aquarius (I am Aquarius = Jan.21), it brings them good luck. So it was really meaningful for us as a stone, that we brought it into the theme of the wedding.

We also had friends who were irish that have just gotten married (A little bit before us) and as it happened BOTH their family crests were both mainly green in color, so their color scheme for their wedding was green. Made sense.

So my advice to you is to look at your relationship or your preferences/favorites and try and see if there is a color that is meaningful to the both of you.

I always like weddings where all the bridemaids dresses aren't the same color. Either diffrent shades of the same color, or colors that are in season. For instane diffrent shades of pastels for a spring wedding. Also I think it depends on the flowers you will choose. Good luck, and do not forget it is supposed to be fun.

Deep colors, or pastels. Use white or black lace as an accent. Do not use frills and all those unneccessary things. Lace is as face you should go if you do not want too girly of a theme.

I would think of a deep red dress maybe and use red or marroon with black or white lace as table settings.

Neutral colors are also an option. I like browns and you could have a fall motif with orange or yellows with reds and browns.

Once again, just a couple of thoughts. Hope you dont hate them! :)

I used burgandy and white with a few pink flowers in the arch.

I like basic black & white, too. Looks very elegant, especially if you throw in some silver with it. If I ever do it again, lol, I would use these colors.

I am not fond of a lot of pastel colors (light yellow, lavender, etc.)

It depends on when your wedding is going to be. For spring weddings, you should use light pastel colors. Summer calls for brighter more viberate colors. Fall is a time for earthier brownish tones and winter is for whites, creams, silver, blues, and greens.

Well, my wedding is in the autumn, so we are looking at warm colors. Mostly red, with highlights of orange, yellow, even some brown.
