According to Dr. Dean Edell on his radio show, not too long ago flat feet were enough to keep men out of the U.S. military. More recently it has to come light that people with flat feet were typically better on their feet over long periods of time. Further, people with flat feet have better balance. Therefore, the U.S. military has dropped their prohibition against flat feet. Since the UK is generally about two generations ahead of us in just about everything, it would surprise me if flat feet were to be a problem with you.
