Being on a diet is not about avoiding foods, it's about portion control and making healthier choices. For a diet to be successful, it has to be a lifestyle change. Can you honestly tell me that you can give up french fries or fried chicken for the rest of your life? Probably not. It's not about cutting out all fats or all carbs, because they do serve a purpose in your body. You need to identify when you are hungry and when you are full. Eat when you are just feeling hunger and stop when you are starting to feel satisfied. It's about knowing your "comfort zone" and only eatting while you are in it. Make substitutions like instead of white rice, try brown rice. Or instead of whole milk, try 2% ot skim. And I cannot stress portion control any more. Learn how to identify portions of different foods and try just eating that. You may be surprised at how filled up you get from that 1 portion.

You will find that small changes to your life can have huge effects. And if you make these changes you can actually eat whatever you want and still lose weight.
