I need a quick favor from an LEO with state and/or federal jurisdiction. I am totally confused about something and the only way to clear it up and figure out what is going on would be a state and federal outstanding warrant check.

If it is possible, could an LEO check on this? Last name: Panks. First name: Paul. DOB: 7/7/1976

Thanks.

Paul

Long story, but a possible active warrant would explain a lot.

No police officer or other official with that power will do a warrant check for someone who asks for it on Yahoo Answers. We aren't allowed to run people on the system unless it is for a work related reason. If I did this for you (and as a Canadian police officer I could, using NCIC) and someone found out I could face disciplinary action at work and I could lose somewhere in the neighbourhood of 40hrs worth of wages. I could also be suspended from work and have a letter put in my file that would keep me from being promoted or from getting a different position.

Go to the police station early in the morning during the week, ask them to check you out (bring ID) and if there is a warrant, deal with it then. Here in Canada some warrants are endorsed meaning that the officer in charge can release right there at the station with a promise to appear, or you could go up to bail court right away and be released by the judge (depending on the offence and your existing record of course).

Huge no no to run a name without a legit reason....I doubt any LEO would risk giving any info out over this forum. If you think your wanted just call your local Police and tell then you think you are wanted and might check.... although they would probably make you come in person.

as much as you don't want to - you should go to the local police station and find out. It would benefit you, in that you had turned yourself in on your own recognisance (I think I spelled that wrong). Your old enough to face whatever it is that is coming to you - time to face up and shape up.

first and foremost how do we know this is you we would be looking up.
Secondly police will never do a random look up without reason.
Thirdly this just sounds too phony.
