Ok I used a new razor and I cut myself a good one this time and It won't stop bleeding. I put a wrap and stuff on it and that did stop it but once I took it off the layer that clotted came off and it started again.

Is there anything that I can do. Buy something to make it stop because that is something that stiches won't fix?

Ok- your only mistake on this one was taking the first layer of bandages off. The scabbing process (clotting) is sticky, and it adheres to both skin and bandage. When you rip the bandage off... well, the scab comes too and it starts bleeding again.

Don't put anything weird on it- no coffee grounds... no tea bags. Although I'm sure they have helpful properties, they can also introduce foreign substances into the wound, which makes the healing process take longer, even if they do stop the bleeding faster. Plus you don't want infection.

Just take a bandage and put it on the cut. If it bleeds through, add another layer. And so on and so forth. If it bleeds through the second layer, you now have a choice: take the second layer off- LEAVE THE FIRST- and add another, or just directly add another.

If the bleeding doesn't slow within 10 minutes, I would suggest you get it looked at. I know that at the pool, if a nosebleed lasts for more than 7 minutes, we're supposed to call EMS.

Breathe- it's a simple cut and it'll be fine. Just take care of it.
And I recommend taking a first aid course! It is helpful and you will be much more prepared for any "normal" injury!

Hope this helps.

That happens. Umm yah the bleeding doesnt stop. You could put polysporin on it.

If you don't have a styptic pencil on hand, rub a tiny dab of your normal antiperspirant on the cut. After you apply it, a little bead of blood may well up, but once you wipe it away the antiperspirant will stop all further bleeding.

Urine contains uric acid, which is a natural healing substance. For centuries, an old-fashioned remedy to stop blood loss due to an injury was to introduce human urine to the injured area. Uric acid coagulates blood.

Apply a small amount of Vaseline to a shaving cut and it will stop the bleeding

If you take an ice cube and rub it over the surrounding area, it will stop the bleeding almost immediately. The coolness of the ice will cause your capillaries to constrict cutting off the blood supply to the cut. It'll also wake you up in the morning!

Dry coffee grinds coagulate blood very quickly. This is the method used by migrant workers when picking the fruit. It was a cheap way of stopping bloody cuts, but with the price of coffee now a day, I don't see them using this method often.

Put a few drops of nasal spray on a tissue and dab it on the cut. The nasal spray constricts the blood vessel and stops the bleeding. It works like a charm.

wash it thoroughly with soap and water, and then put a bandage over it. if the bleeding is severe enough and wont stop then you can try lying down and elevating your leg above your heart level. this should stop the bleeding. if your bandage is soaked with blood, leave it until the blood has clotted well. when you go to removed the bandage, try wetting the bandage first. this will help so that you can remove it without ripping off the clotted layer of skin. if you have some liquid bandade thats good for this type of thing. good luck :)

it may seem strange, but put a tea bag on it and then wrap it up. Tea has an agent in it that stops bleeding. when I had a tooth pulled I bit on a tea bag for a while to stop bleeding

I have cut my legs shaving as well. A styptic pencil (found in the shaving aisle) or alum powder (found on the spice aisle) is good. Very often, a good bandaid is what you need. Leave it on unless the blood seeps out, ie., don't play with it.

Do first aid, put bandages.

Try some other hair removal method, which may be more suitable.
