Anger is an emotion which G-d has given us. The root of anger is fear. If we get angry with someone, we must realize that we are afraid of something. We feel that maybe some of our rights may have been violated. Though we must at some time come into a realization that we have privileges and responsibilities (not rights), that doesn't change the fact that we are afraid and get angry. Anger is a state of being. It says in scripture, that it is what comes out of our mouth that defiles us. So, we put these things together and say that we can be angry with someone, but it is HOW we deal with that anger which predicates whether we have sin. If we get angry with someone and put them down by yelling at them or make an obscene gesture then we have defiled ourselves. If we can sit down with them and share how they have made us to feel, and why, then we do not sin.

Yeah, I think it's ok. I think it's just one of those things that all people should think about not just 'believers'. Getting angry is human, it's not a big deal. It's how you deal with it that's important. If you realize you are angry, think it through and forgive people and then yourself for having 'bad' thoughts, you can then move on from the anger. You're just always supposed to be striving to be a better person. I don't think it's a 'sin' to be angry but it's not cool to choose to live an angry life and not try to change for the better.

Yes.
Jesus got angry sometimes, and Jesus is without sin, so it is clearly not a sin to get angry.
He got angry at the merchants in the temple because they were using God's temple for selling and buying goods.

obviously. the bible says god is an angry god. so if anger is a sin, then god sins.
Numbers 22:22
But God was very angry when he went, and the angel of the LORD stood in the road to oppose him. Balaam was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him.
Psalm 78:59
When God heard them, he was very angry; he rejected Israel completely.

Sure.
If you get angry, you don't have to get even. Getting revenge is sin, because revenge is something that God is in control over.
And the Bible also says that if you end the day angry, the devil wins.

Jesus got angry with the money lenders in the temple and resorted to violence but apparently remained sinless so the Christian viewpoint would be yes.
