I would like to have my hair in different styles than just having it wavy. If possible please how should i curl my hair so it looks natural and lasts for long?

Thanks

Usually the way you have your hair cut dictates what kind of styles you can wear. If you have long hair, there are many possilities. You can wear it in a pony tail, or just the front swept back into a clip, or a chignon, or a long braid.

Hot rollers work great. You can usually get a set for $20 at any department store. The sets with the big rollers can give you a large soft curl. A hot roller set can usually last you a couple of days.

If you dont want to mess with rollers, a large barrel curling iron can also work nicely and will also give you a large soft curl that looks natural.

Then of course there are the old standby sponge rollers that you can put in your hair the night before you go to bed and just take them out the next morning and brush out. This method will usually last you until you wash your hair next.

A curler seldom gives a natural finish. It just looks as though you just spent two hours in your bathroom styling your hair (which is the case). What you need to do to enhance your natural curls, is to avoid hair dryer and to apply a generous amount of curl enhancing product. I do recommand Curl conscious by Bumble and Bumble. Expensive but reeeeally worth it. Then when your hair is almost dry, curl your strands tightly around your finger, apply hair spray and refrain from touching it again. It doesn't look as though you've been trying too hard. Actually it looks effortless (and it almost really is).

The best way to curl hair is to scrape a spoon across a plate real hard, while showing a video of The Exorcist.

hot rollers for me, i love them, especially for long lasting
natural looking curls and its super easy and quick compared
to using a curling iron.(after showering i like to first dry and roll
my hair and then put on my makeup).
if you have really long or thick hair you may need two sets
but, well worth the money.
my hair is straight and fine so i apply paul mitchell extra body mousse concentrating on the scalp (for lift) but, not too much and then through the length of my hair, i then blow it dry from underneath (for maximum volume) roll my hair and after the rollers cool remove and let my hair rest for a moment then i like to use a smoothing hair lotion (start at the ends and go up) this makes your curls smooth and silky not greasy.
the rollers i use are called lock n roll and the traditional type
but, there are many to choose from and you will need to find
what works best for you.
this is what i do personally and it works for me but, i'm also
a licensed hairdresser.

curling iron. you can buy different ones with different thicknesses too. for example really thick: loose curls, and thin: tight curls. its all a matter of how long you curl or how many curls. good luck

what i do is i wet my hair, tie it with fabric in the position i want it to curl then i sleep with it in. The curling iron is really bad for your hair so i barely ever use it.
