We started dating 5 months ago and I am out of highschool and in college and she is a senior in highschool. A week after we started dating a guy asked her to the dance. She didnt think about me she just said yes. When I talk to her about she gets mad because we love each other so she says if you love someone you should want them to be happy and not jealous. I do trust her I just think she should have handled it a little better and her mom agrees. Help please.

tell her... if you love someone you shouldnt be soo selfish. She is doing all of this because it what she wants to go with him, and she is not worried about you. She is not thinking about your feeling, and it dont sound fair at all. She says that if you love someone you should want them to be happy, well she is not making you very happy. Tell her (even though your really not) that your going to go out to eat with an old friend ( think of a girl that used to be your friend in school or even one now) and maybe a movie while she is gone. see exactly how she acts about that scenerio.

Wow....I know How You feel...My Best friedns Boy-friend came up to her at a ddance and said...Can I dance Wif Other Girls and she said i dun care even though she really did...she got pissed off told me the story and we both were still shocked at him...
He Asked me to dance and i said srry i dun dance wif jerks and walked away... anyways point is..
This Girl Probaly doesnt have the feelings for you that you have for her that yuve expressed on that small paragraph so even though shell get a bit upset kindly and patiently talk to her about it and one thing you should MOST DEFINATLY find out is if this boy knows that hes going to the dance wif a girl that is taken....
He probaly doesnt because why would he ask someone that is already going out wif someone...

Well, I think that if the girl really loves you then she would tell the other person the situation and hope that they would understand..
But you have reason to question, after all some other guy is taking ur girl..

she's right in that if you love some one you should want them to be happy... but that's change the fact that what she did is like a slap in the face to her boyfriend (you)... if my girlfriend did that to me, i would tell her that if she wants to be with another guy, then to break up with me, not to string me along... if she continues to 'date' you, and still goto dance's with other guys, well, i call going to a dance with some one a date, so in my book she's cheating on you.

just simple blow off the other guy's as*. in this way he will him self will be no longer to go 4 a dance .no need to fight wid ur girl and just tell her u dont hav any prob wid the dance.

man thats tough. but like she said, if u love somebody u wanna make them happy right? obviously shes not thinking of making you happy cuz shes gonna go to that dance without even mentioning it to you. tell her you wanna go out with some other girl and see how she reacts. if she says thats cool and she decides to go to that dance anyways, just leave her. thats not love.

When she said 'Yes' your relationship was new and she probably didnt know if it would matter. Its a stupid high school dance and your girlfriend is probably getting mad because she feels stupid that she said yes.

Dude...u r so lucky...I wish other guys would go out with my girlfriend...dont' be insecure...let her go out with other guys...because you know shes coming home to you...trust me...she loves you but needs to be with other guys as well...this way she will appreciate you more...just treat her right and support her in her decisions...don't play games or retaliate...just let her go out...however, if she starts comparing you to these other guys (positive or negative), it will become a problem in the future, so let her go out with other guys...but no that its not a competition between you or them....its not you vs. them, its you or not you!!
