If you find him really boring maybe he's not the right guy for you. Instead of trying to change him why not look for a person who has the personality and charisma you are looking for?

tell him do somthing exotic go out of ur comfurt zone and mabe he will that probly doesnt make o well tell him it the main thing

tell him what you like and if he doesn't reciprocate, then maybe you need to evaluate the relationship and see if the pros out- weigh the cons.
