Like war and poverty, maybe?

Yes it is a sin but no sin is greater then the other. For the person that answered you and said that God created these Human yes god did create us but we also have freedom to believe what we want to believe there are two ways of living for the devil or for God, and I might say the devil is very powerful he can make you believe that you are homosexual but if you question your self about it that means your not to that point yet pray and ask God to enter your life and he will lead you have faith and believe in him for he is worthy to be praised don't get me wrong no one is perfect no one that's why God sent his son Jesus down here to die for our sins so that when we sin and ask God for forgiveness we are forgive, but we may still be punished for our sins I think you should talk to God about your problems no one on the Internet can help you some may lead you the wrong way as in some of the answers I read remember the devil is real but if you have FAITH and BELIEVE in GOD he will see you through

In my eyes you might as well also ask if hetrosexuality is a punishable sin too,Is being Black/White a punishable sin?Is being tall/short a punishable sin?Oh.. what the heck, why dont we just punish everyone for everything that cant be helped because we have been brainwashed into believing its a sin.

*sighs* my heart goes out to all gay/lesbian/transgender/whatever people of the world since they have to deal with idiots accusing them of committing a punishable sin because of what the bible says. Theyre born that way. Its a fact. Why would god want to punish his own creations like that?

As a just God God must punish all sins. He must punish homosexual sin, heterosexual sin, and non-sexual sins like pride, envy, hatred, greed, stealing, disrespecting parents, breaking the Sabbath, worshipping idols, etc.

There are indeed sodomy laws in the United States still in effect and sodomy or homosexual activity can get you discharged from the US military. Whether it is a "sin" depends on how your religion views it.
