My husband was recently diagnosed with Hep B and is still in the process of getting blood work done to check his ALT levels.

He is only 23, how serious will this be for him?

I myself already have had the vaccine 2 years ago and my liver enzymes are normal. The strange thing is that he had the hep B shot done when he was in the Navy, yet he still got it and we don't know from where.

Is there some information out there on the seriousness of the disease as well as life expectancy?

No you may't be an organ donar. Hep B is transmitted by the blood it truly is transmitted even as organs are being transplanted. it truly is the same in case you've been to attempt to donate blood.
