A lot of Spanish come from places like Cuba and Mexico to stay in south florida. It's much like their climate, warm, sunny. That's just the way it is. With the number of Spanish speakers moving into the states Spanish is growing into a sort of a 2nd language and would be very useful for americans to learn now a days. And yes English is the official language.
