Can I ask why you don't want people to know you're trying to lose weight? I would recommend trying to do your exercises in the morning before school. I do 20 minutes of cardio exercise in the morning, after I have a cup of water (to replenish from the night), but before I eat ANYTHING. You can vary intensities from just walking in place to doing jumping jacks for a minute, basically do low intensity for a few minutes, then pump it up to high intensity, about 4 times over the 20 minutes. Your body will use its stored energy for this morning exercise - if you eat first, it will just use that. It's a good way to start your day, boosting your metabolism. But DO eat breakfast! For a month or two, I would say just work on doing some morning exercises and making your diet better. You'll probably lose quite a bit of weight that way. If you have any questions, you can email me. :)

Im concerned why you dont want anyone to know? Friends and family can be a bit support.

I suggest watching what you eat. Do "little" things (I use quotes cuz its probably harder than it seems) like cutting out soda-or at least only drinking it twice a week. Eat 5-6 smaller meals, and make sure you get variety in your diet. Carbs (yes! you need these) fat (not the saturated kind) protein, Calories. Eat lots of fruit and veggies and drink plenty of water.

As for working out, I agree with above, mornings seem like your best bet. Also, after school if you have time, go for walks and jogs, and if it must be a secret, just say you're going for walk, to park, etc. Take dog out if you have one.
Cardio is the key factor. Exercise for at least 30 minutes 3-4 times a week. Get your heart rate up there- warm up for 5 minutes, jog for 1 minute, walk for 2, repeat. Dont forget to stretch AFTER you're warmed up...bad for muscles if you are cold.

Also do weight training. Lunges, squats, step up on platform or chair. Best exercises for your legs. (go to www.womenshealthmag.com or self.com for specific types of lunges/squats, etc. Same for arms.

Dont forget to eat breakfast and dont starve yourself! Stay away from fast food and other processed foods. Good luck.

Go to a gym that's not in your town. Many are open until 10pm and some are open 24 hours. I usually don't recommend that people go to a gym that's out of their way but in this case I will.
Also, when you start losing weight people will notice anyway. Don't try to fool them into thinking that you're somehow "magically" losing weight. They'll figure you that you're eating better and exercising more.

I know it might be hard, but don't be afraid of other people seeing you trying to better your health - your trying to do a great thing not, a bad thing to be ashamed of.
I would say, eat more fruits/vegetables (substitute them for chips, for example), eat a light dinner, and take walks (with your dog, etc). Walking will give a good start up in exercise and help you relax your mind. :)
