You sure as heck can. My ex wife and I are both remarried and remain both friends and friendly towards one and other. As a matter of fact her new man got into a bit of trouble and needed some help and she asked if I would help him out and did so. Felt good helping another person out and he was grateful also.

Of course you can... It takes a mature person to accept that a relationship is over. Alot of people in a relationship discover that they are not on the same page with their partner, but still enjoy their company as friends. If you feel the person is worth keeping in your life, then absolutely!!! A friendship is better than no relationship at all...

it depends on the maturity level of the people. if i loved that person i'd sure hope i can still love them as a friend and vise versa. cause if you can't stay on good terms that just means you never loved them in the first place.

it depends. if you believe you can be just friends with the person, by all means go a head, but do not agree to stay "just friends" if you can't accept the fact that the relationship is over.

I think you can probley be very hard at first but in time I think it can happen. It all depends how mature you both are.

Sure you can--if you're mature enough to handle it that is.
