I would offer a variety of cheeses with crackers. Fruit is always great! You could also make little puffs with crab or shrimp. Also you should have some small chocolate cakes/mousses because they taste amazing with red wines. (Especially Cabernet's)

Something that's offered a lot in our family is brei cheese with a layer of fig preserves and thinly sliced almonds, wrapped in crescent dough. You take half the dough, press the edges together so it stays in a square and wrap up the cheese and fig/almonds- bake in the oven according to the directions on the crescent package and it's delicious. Serve with a spreader and a wheat cracker.

Cheese and crackers. Get a different type of cheese for every wine you get. You want one that will enhance the flavor of the wine. The crackers are good to cleanse the palate.

wine parties are fun!

In the past I used (kinda) greek food or italian food.
For the greek food-
spinach salad - spinach and red onions dressing
chicked (from the grocery store already rotisseried - pulled all meat off and put on dish)
Pita bread - cut into little triangles
Cheeses - several differnt types
grapes - for deco

Italian -
ravioli/ with tomatoes and garlic - so they can just grab the amount they want
salad
French bread
cheeses
grapes - deco
Antipasta plate - salami/ olives/ roasted peppers

Have fun - try to make it east - and make the food to match... it makes it a little easier on you and matches
Cheese are going to be a little expensive - but look up on the internet for two that everyone is familiar with and one exotic cheese. (Or one of each)

I really like to eat bruschetta and a little appetizer I make when I drink wine. Buy 2 loaves of sour dough baguette bread (Panera) and slice them about a1/4" thick. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and toast under the broiler until brown to your liking. Take half the little "toastettes" and set aside to serve with the bruschetta. Next, take the other half of the toastettes and spread with goat cheese. Top with strips of fresh basil and roasted red pepper - the peppers you can buy in a jar or do yourself.
To make the brushetta, I dice roma tomatoes, add minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, salt to taste and shredded parmesan cheese. I like to chill it for about 10 or 15 minutes. Serve with a spoon to put on top of the toastettes. have fun!
