Ok, I broke up with my boyfriend. But he called me saying he wants to hook back up. I can't really tell him no, guys emotional. But I don't want to say yes either. I'm still his friend, but apparently he wants more then that. I DON'T WANT TO HOOK BACK UP BUT HE WON'T TAKE A HINT!!!

Shows u are a caring person towards his emotions....It's hard to go back to friends with an "ex" but it is possible...I advice you to ....have some space between one another for some time....I suppose he calls u alot...and wants to see u often,,,,....so avoid him, subtly.....so he has time to outgrow this feelings he stills has for you into a friendship...perhaps..u can comment on activities and new pple u are meeting or to tell him u plan to date someone new...so he takes the hint, that u see his as one more friend to talk about your things with ...-and not like a romantic interest..

What part of breaking up did he fail to understand?
You tried to break up with him the soft & sappy way, so now you have to end it in a more direct, & honest way or he's going to keep comming back because he must think that the door is still open.
So stop dropping hints, & close the door.

just tell him say I think you're a nice person but I only want for us to be friends I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings but I only think of you now as a friend. just remeber talk camly and in a nice voice don't be yelling at him if he's sensitive

The only way to let him know is to flat out tell him. Breaking up hurts...he'll get through it. Just don't lead him on, be blunt.
